Gaby Ruz spent nearly 19 years inside an S&P 500 software company, climbing from executive assistant to senior director, first in financial planning and analysis, then financial systems, and finally as Head of North America Business Operations.
She built two teams from the ground up across two different business units. As go-to-market growth strategy and tech modernization reshaped the company, she became the person everyone turned to.
In 2024, she chose to build a new kind of path, one where trusted judgment moves across generations, not just up the ladder.
An English teacher at heart, she's mentored first-generation students through UC Berkeley's Puente Program at San Diego Mesa College for the last eight years, serves as a global ambassador for Women in Data Science, and leads operations for Latinas in Tech San Diego. All done with love, as a wife and a mother.
She knows what it looks like when life moves faster than anyone feels ready for. Technology is the tool. Humans are still the thread.

Principle sits where Canopy does, gathering light and setting direction for everything below it. Belief takes shape next, the way a branch extends a canopy's direction outward before it commits to anything solid. Morals sit opposite Belief, running through the center like a Trunk, the one channel everything else has to pass through to reach the ground. And Discipline sits at the Roots, where belief and morals finally become action, the same word botany already uses for exactly this kind of grounding.
